Sr Analyst, Operations FP&A
Major Responsibilities:

+ Supports the development of Essendant's periodic forecasts, annual budget, capital and long range plans for Operations costs for the Industrial business units.

+ Prepares management reporting and dashboards encompassing the Operations costs for the Industrial business units with proactive analysis and commentary on business performance.

+ Creates dynamic financial models to evaluate business scenarios and support business decisions.

+ Provides financial support to strategic projects, key initiatives and process improvement teams.

+ Participates in continuous improvement efforts in the processes and tools used in planning, reporting and analysis activities.

+ Prepares detailed project evaluation analyses including financial justification (NPV, IRR, payback).

+ Performs critical analysis for Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team presentations.

+ Completes ad hoc analysis as requested and develops insight for senior management

+ Oversight of the department Financial Analyst for any support that associate provides for the Industrial business units

+ Understands and demonstrates Essendant's Core Values.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

+ Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.

+ Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously.

+ Ability to manage ambiguity and develop perspective in a dynamic and fast paced environment

+ Action oriented with a strong drive for results

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong financial modeling skills.

Education and Experience:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. MBA preferred.

+ Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in financial roles, in a large corporate, management consulting, or banking environment

+ Experience using Hyperion/Oracle Essbase or similar financial system application preferred.
