UPS is seeking a passionate, results-driven Plant Engineering (PE) Environmental Supervisor to join our winning team. The PE Environmental Supervisor serves as the UPS Freight Program Coordinator and acts as the liaison with Freight Environmental and Regulated Goods through coordination of training and compliance programs based on State or Federal Regulations. He/she will travel to different sites throughout the month for audits and/or assisting the district and/or region. He/She is responsible for multiple districts Underground Storage Tank Remediation projects. This process includes completing associated Requests for Appropriation, serving as point of contact for the remediation consultant, corporate PE, region PE, and district PE personnel affected by remediation activities, payment of invoices and contract administration. The PE Environmental Supervisor is also assigned various small-scale projects, including the Electrical Glove PPE program with district PE. He/She supports District Compliance, District Environmental Coordinator Training & Development and reporting through Environmental Facility Audit sign-off, Corrective Action Plan reviews, targeted programs, monthly facility safety audits, district level Spill reports, inquiries and Fire and Injury reports. He /she will take spill response phone calls from specific vendors and/or districts and coordinate spill cleanup.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

+ Manages region department compliance training

+ Conducts research and develops new or refines existing training materials, including train-the-trainer materials

+ Supports districts with web application data anomalies, troubleshooting and problem resolution with Plant Engineering Information Services

+ Coordinates Haz Mat One spill reporting and subsequent Heritage hazardous waste pickups

+ Obtains and maintains environmental certifications (environment facility audit, guarding, fuel-island, etc.)

+ Tracks environmental and safety campaigns

+ Supports Region Environmental Managers in managing Balanced Score Card elements

+ Provides backup/vacation coverage for Region Environmental Managers

+ Assists Region Environmental Managers in skill development for District Environmental Coordinators

+ Serves as Region MAXIMO coordinator

+ Manages region SharePoint site content

+ Coordinates corporate surveys

+ Serves as subject matter expert for state-specific programs

**Knowledge and Skills**

+ Strong presentation skills

+ Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills

+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

+ Critical thinker and analytical

+ Self-starter

+ Effective time and priority management

+ 3-5 years Plant Engineering experience - Preferred

+ Environment and facility safety compliance program experience - Preferred

+ Regulated goods experience - Preferred
